The MyAcademicID national workshop in Greece took place on October 21 in an online format and was organized by the Department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). The online workshop was attended by individuals and institutions involved in activities related to Higher Education; representatives of IT Centers and Departments of European Educational Programmes from 19 Universities and other relevant bodies involved in planning and policy formulation.

For the project, Dr Bratsas (AUTh) presented the MyAID objectives, with the aim of thoroughly discussing critical issues about the existing framework and the available solutions, and Mr. Kanellopoulos (GEANT) described the architecture and the technical characteristics of the European student identifier and MyAID solution.

On behalf of the Ministry of Digital Governance, Mrs Routzouni elaborated the Ministry’s strategies and the collaboration perspective between MyAID and the horizontal actions of the Ministry, such as e-Diploma and the National Authentication System for the public sector.

Representing the IT Centre of AUTh, Mr. Daskopoulos showed the ID management actions undertaken for the AUTh community in the past years and the issues that had occurred, while Mr. Liolios (AUTh Erasmus+ Office) presented current EU projects using MyAID solution noticeably PhDHub and Erasmus Without Paper.

On behalf of National Agencies, Mr. Mousmoulas (GRNET) presented the advanced e-Infrastructures & Services taking place in the Greek public sector and especially the eIDAS node, and Mr. Stamatis (GUNET) described the GUNET Identity management.

In the session after the presentations, there was a connection with the “Ministries and Higher Education Institutions Meeting” that was taking place at the same time. During this connection the two representatives of the Ministry of Digital Governance, Mr. Raptis and Mr. Voutsinas described the eDiplomas service. Additionally, Mr. Salmatzidis (Director of IT Auth Center) presented a live demo of eDeplomas system that could provide a safe and authorized electronic access to University Degrees.
